What is hot water extraction?

The process injects hot water and cleaning solution deep into carpet fibres, then immediately extracts it along with dissolved dirt, allergens, stains, and odours. Preparing your carpets for cleaning
Before our team arrives, vacuum your carpets thoroughly, as this removes loose dirt and debris and allows us to focus on the deep clean. Clear the area as much as possible by moving small furniture items, children's toys, and any breakables. We'll move furniture as needed, but making the space accessible helps us work more efficiently.
Stains: be upfront
Tell us about any stains when you book or when we arrive. It's helpful to know what caused a stain, as coffee, wine, pet urine, oil, and paint all respond to different treatments. Old stains are harder to remove than fresh ones, but we'll always do our best. We'll be honest with you about what results to expect.
Drying time
After hot water extraction, carpets are typically dry within 2 to 4 hours in normal conditions. Good ventilation speeds this up significantly. Open windows and doors and turn on central heating or a fan heater if possible. Avoid walking on carpets in outdoor shoes while they're drying, and if you have pets, keep them off the carpet until it's fully dry.
How often should you have carpets professionally cleaned?
For most households, once a year is a good baseline. Homes with pets, young children, or high foot traffic may benefit from twice yearly cleaning. Regular professional cleaning not only keeps carpets looking their best but can significantly extend their lifespan, saving you money in the long run.
